To produce Professionals in the field of gemology through reputed educational and research programs, creating environment to promote the gem and jewelry trade as well as working as a professional body to educate public and the decision makers to advancement of the future gem and jewelry trade in Sri Lanka.
EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT AT OUR ASSOCIATION
The Department of Earth Resources Engineering, Moratuwa University has been successfully conducting a certificate level course since 1973 to train persons in Gemology. The course provides appropriate academic qualification, skills to people who wish to engage in the fields of Gemology and for those who are already employed in these fields to whom this is an opportunity to advance the careers. At the request of Students and Institutes we decided to commence a Diploma.
